A twice-annual environmental/adventure magazine from adventure term
Notes from the Adventure
Notes from the Adventure is a twice-annual print and digital publication of environmental adventure stories, made up of narrative essays, creative nonfiction, ecological imagery, and conservation dispatches from the field. Each volume orbits a different ecosystem, incorporating creative imagery and storytelling from local ecologists, writers, and visual artists. With the goal of inspiring and supporting the next generation of environmental storytellers and naturalists, Notes from the Adventure offers a platform for in-depth environmental reporting and creative engagement with endangered ecosystems and imperiled species. The premiere volume drops in April, 2021, so there is no better time than now to subscribe to Notes from the Adventure and receive the best on-the-ground environmental adventure stories straight to your mailbox. ORIGINS
Notes from the Adventure was born out of a desire to offer a modern, engaging, and interactive platform for eco-stories that until now have not been accessible to diverse audiences. Returning from ADVENTURE TERM expeditions with countless stories, vignettes, and visual imagery, co-founders Kyle and Trevor Ritland became frustrated with the lack of accessible and affordable environmental publications that had the room for feature-length storytelling on imperiled ecosystems. Through partnerships and conversations with other environmental publishers and communicators, Notes from the Adventure was created as a platform to share long-form eco-adventure stories with a global audience.
